"Past Simple" (Trecut Simplu) se foloseste pentru actiuni care s-au terminat in trecut, de obicei la un moment precis: ieri, saptamana trecuta, anul trecut.
Mai jos e conjugarea completa cu verbul regulat "work" (a lucra) ca model.
Verbele regulate primesc -ed la trecut: work → worked, visit → visited. Verbele neregulate au o forma proprie, care trebuie memorata: go → went, have → had. Vedeti si lista completa de verbe neregulate.

💡Sfat: O greseala frecventa este sa folositi "did" impreuna cu forma de trecut a verbului. Este gresit "I didn't went to school", corect este "I didn't go to school". Dupa "did" sau "didn't", verbul principal ramane mereu la forma de baza.
