Pentru a nega o propozitie in limba engleza, adaugati "not" langa un verb auxiliar, iar auxiliarul folosit depinde de timpul verbal si de tipul verbului principal.
Regula ramane aceeasi indiferent daca vorbiti despre prezent, trecut sau despre ce aveti voie sa faceti.
Folositi don't / doesn't pentru "Present Simple", didn't pentru "Past Simple", isn't / aren't / wasn't / weren't pentru "to be", si can't / won't pentru verbe modale. Dupa auxiliar, verbul principal ramane la forma de baza.

💡Sfat: In engleza, doua negatii in aceeasi propozitie sunt gresite. "I don't have nothing" este incorect, forma corecta este "I don't have anything." O singura negatie este suficienta pentru a transmite sensul.
