Verbul "to have" (a avea) se foloseste pentru a arata ce detineti, ce relatii aveti sau ce caracteristici aveti.
Este unul dintre cele mai folosite verbe, alaturi de "to be", si apare des la forma afirmativa, negativa si in intrebari.
"To have" are doua forme la prezent: have pentru majoritatea persoanelor si has pentru el/ea/it (persoana a III-a singular). Negatia si intrebarile se formeaza cu verbul ajutator do/does, nu prin schimbarea lui "have" insusi.

💡Sfat: Nu confundati "to have" cu "to be". La varsta, de exemplu, limba engleza foloseste "to be" ("I am 30 years old"), nu "to have" ca in limba romana ("am 30 de ani").
